CEL Training Ltd at present delivers only through sub-contracts although it is approved as a direct provider to the SFA. Therefore while MCL will not directly impact us at present we anticipate it will going forward. Our revenue in 2010/11 is forecast at £1.25m.

Current provision is wholly 100% Train to Gain, although we have just won our first Apprenticeship delivery sub-contract, and we have delivered ESF, Basic Skills and Skills for Life in the past.
That provision is in Health & Social Care and Business Improvement Techniques (BIT - ’lean’-type approach to work) which is applicable across a very wide spectrum on sectors including manufacturing, engineering, food processing, logistics etc.

CEL Training has been delivering for over two years now, with delivery in the North West, West Mids and East Mids, and previously in Yorks & Humber.  Success rates are 95% Overall Achievement and 87% Timely Achievement. We are not subject to an OFSTED inspection.
 
CEL Training is especially interested in talking to other providers who would consider merging in an equity swap type model to create a larger, more powerful single provider with ‘member’ businesses having an equity stake in ‘Newco’.
