CEL Training's key staff are highly qualified and have extensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of vocational training.
Steve Glassock
Managing Director
Steve joined CEL in January 2009. He is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director, and has over eleven years experience in the work-based training industry. For the last four years, Steve has been Divisional CEO at A4e, managing a £70m European training fund and growing the work-based training division from under £1m turnover to over £25m. Prior to that he was CEO of Protocol Skills, the largest work-based training provider in the UK. Steve aims to broaden the services delivered by CEL and grow them in line with the market opportunities available.
Elaine Briggs
Director of Quality and Training
Elaine is responsible for programme development and quality. In addition to over twelve years experience in delivering high quality training to the private sector within a large commercial training provider, Elaine also brings with her a wealth of experience as an External Verifier and Moderator for the OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA) and City & Guilds awarding bodies; ensuring that qualifications available in the Industry are relevant, accessible, meaningful and achievable and that standards of training are upheld.
Andy Farrell
Finance Director
Andy is responsible for finance and the administration of contracts. He was previously in the Financial Services sector as Head of Accounting for an internet based company, where he guided the business through a period of rapid and intense growth. Andy originally began his career within the manufacturing industry where he gained in-depth knowledge of lean techniques and process improvements over a period of 15 years. He moved into Vocational Training in 2008 bringing with him a wealth of experience of managing accounting and administration functions within all sizes of organisations.
Debi Sharkie
Training Manager
Debi is responsible for the day-to-day delivery, management, and quality of the manufacturing NVQs. Prior to moving into the training industry in 2005, she worked in manufacturing and has extensive experience of delivering quality improvement training to industry. She has built up an excellent reputation for delivering training that can really increase productivity within client businesses.
